My Story

In our home, a 'fluff' is what happens when our bodies release little poofs of air. It can also mean a mistake, a blunder or a soft, light, downy mass. I just love the word.

This blog is for moms who:

  • Find humor in the daily grind of parenting
  • Think their kids are creative
  • Want to learn how to let go and play
  • Need to know that they are not alone
  • Find meaning in the past

About Me:

I am a mom of two girls, ages 2 and 4. I recently received a wonderful gift: the opportunity to stay at home and no longer work full-time. Clara, 2, and Camille, 4, are handfuls in their own right; but I guess I am a handful too. So we go together like apples, oranges and bananas. Everyday, it seems, my mind and body are challenged at rigorous levels. I can't complain though. Instead, I must give major credit to these two children for helping me maintain my physique when I've chosen to sleep in instead of go for a run.

Why I Created This Blog:

Parenting is hard. No doubt about that. I hope to help others discover a bit of humor when they feel like screaming, or a sad story when they really need a good cry (because those are needed to!), a fun idea when they feel they've spit out their last few drops of creativity, or a bit of nostalgia when they need to re-discover their sense of place and/or purpose. I want to help others find these things because I am constantly looking to others to find these things for myself.
